Managing Editor & Ad Sales Co-ordinator.
PUBLISHED TWO TIMES PER YEAR, SAD MAG IS AN INDEPENDENT MAGAZINE DEDICATED TO COVERING VANCOUVER’S INDEPENDENT ARTS AND CULTURE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF LOCAL, EMERGING WRITERS AND ARTISTS.
Our mandate is to advance artistic accomplishment via promotion of literacy, writing, art, and public discourse among emerging creatives in Vancouver. We seek to create a venue for writers, photographers, and illustrators as well as graphic designers, musicians, performers, typographers, multimedia artists, and others to showcase their work.
SAD Mag aspires to the values of inclusivity and diversity. We are dedicated to proactively seeking out and publishing underrepresented voices, including queer folks, people of colour, Indigenous peoples, and contributors of all ages. We welcome contributions from emerging writers and artists, regardless of formal training or previous experience.
SAD Mag is published on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples.
The SAD Magazine Publishing Society is a registered non-profit and completely volunteer-run. We print locally with MET Fine Printers, a carbon-neutral company.
